For those who don't know who he is, he was a contestant in The Contender..A boxing reality series which was won by Sergio Mora, who is the only boxer who "beat" Ishe, albeit through an Extremely controversial split decision. After the tournament, he was tied down to a contract along with other boxers to Mark Burnett's promotional team.
This promotional team are the NEW "Don King"s which will favour their golden boy and screw over the other boxers to make him look good..Victims of these "Don King"s are runner up Peter Manfredo, Ahmed Kadour, Anthony Bonsante and of course Ishe Smith. Since then Ishe Smith never had a fight and tried to break off from the contract..after 3 months of arbitration he managed to do it and as of yesterday, Ishe Smith is a proud member of Golden Boy Promotions...one of the biggest promotional companies in Boxing.
He is scheduled to get back in the ring on May 6th as an undercard of the Oscar De La Hoya VS Ricardo Mayorga bout. He aspires to be the first World Champion from native Las Vegas and will be competing in the welterweight or junior middleweight division.
