NBA All Star Saturday..

For All those who don't know...The NBA All Star weekend is an annual event which takes place in the middle of the NBA season..The fans will vote and select 2 teams which represents the East and the West..The event goes on for 2 days and Sunday will be the All Star game...

Today,Saturday (technically Sunday over here in Malaysia) is the build up to the game.. basically what happens today is the Rookie VS Sophomore game, Skills challenge, Shooting Stars, 3 point shootout and the most anticipated event - THE SLAM DUNK COMPETITION

Here's a rundown
Skills Challenge
- Contestants will have to complete an obstacle course and the fastest time wins.
- Winner ~ Dwayne Wade(Miami Heat) Steve Nash, last year's winner didn't even make it to the finals..which was contested between Dwayne Wade and Lebron James

Shooting Stars
- Basically a team gets to choose an NBA player, WNBA player and an NBA legend from the team of the same city to compete in a shooting competition
- Winner ~ Team San Antonio(Tony Parker(SA Spurs), Kendra Wecker(SA Shooting Stars), and Steve Kerr(LEGEND!, Former Spurs and Bulls)

3 Point Shootout
- Competition to see who shoots the most 3 pointers in a minute
- Winner ~ Dirk Nowitski (Dallas Mavericks) The 1st ever 7 footer to win the competition..

Slam Dunk Competition
- the Highlight!! Basically players compete to see who can Slam the ball into the net in the MOST MINDBLOWING MANNER!!
- Winner/ Man of the Hour ~ NATE ROBINSON

He's BLOODY 5'9'' which is about the average Malaysian size...DAMN HE DUNKS LIKE A 6 footer!!! though it can be said that his dunks if performed by taller ppl would be noticed but HEY he's 5 fuckin 9!!! you can see from the pics(He's the BLOODY midget in the middle!!) how short he is and what THE HELL did he dunk!! OVER SPUD WEBB(another former SLAM DUNK winner at 5'7'' EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE) but lets keep it to Nate Robinson..

Moral of the story.. If us short wankers think that we can't play in the NBA coz we're short..we're just fooling ourselves...LOOK AT Nate Robinson and you will see why can't we play..COZ WE"RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! that Bloody midget(even though he is taller than me i will call him that due to who he plays with week in week out *wink*) CAN REALLY JUMP!!
